We understand that moving to a new city can be stressful, especially financially. We want to make it as comfortable for you as possible. If you move from outside of Louisiana to be a certified/licensed teacher or school-based professional with the Recovery School District in New Orleans, you may be eligible for up to $17,300 in incentives. It's the least we can do considering the difference you'll be making in New Orleans.
Relocation Incentive
The act of moving can be expensive. There's truck rentals, deposits and first and last month's rent.
To help offset these and other costs, we're offering a relocation reimbursement of up to $2,500
to reimburse eligible moving expenses.
Housing Stipend
For your first year in New Orleans you may be eligible to receive a housing stipend of up to $400 per month.
Retention Incentive
Teachers who commit to three years teaching in RSD and meet all performance criteria may be eligible to receive a $5,000 year-end,
lump sum bonus for each of your first two years of teaching.
